This guide is written by Vic Rattlehead (Hey, that's me!), for the purpose of completing An SMW Central Production, one of the most polished and engaging Super Mario World hacks created so far. : Extended world 1 (Only available after world 7) I am very grateful that my original hiring manager gave me the opportunity to put in my 100% effort every day at this wonderful company. I am also very thankful that I have such a great team to work with every day. Finally, I am very grateful that I work for a company that treats its employees so well and invests in interesting rewards to recognize our efforts.Ctrl+F anything in brackets to be brought to the respective content, it will help! Like the Eagles, I have a great team of people that give 100% every day. That is not to say that I execute perfectly on every play, but I do give 100% every play. When I have a bad play, I let it go and line up again for the next play. At times my teammates can overcome any negative impact on my bad play as I can cover for them. There are also times that “the defense” has a say in the sales game. Be it a competing product, customer change in priorities, or challenging financial situations, you don’t win every play. However, like the Eagles, I learn from a bad play and make the necessary adjustments and snap the ball again. The point I am trying to make is that if you give it 100% every day you have done all that you can to win the game, the impact of the intangibles (luck) have been minimized. Granted there are days when giving 100% is harder than others and not every 100% effort is the same or have equal impact on any given outcome. While I did not do anything different for the contest, it did give me the motivation to help put in that 100% effort on those tough days. I do believe that there are intangibles that impact every second of the day. I also concede that many of these things, such as timing and nature, are out of my control but can impact any given outcome. However, “luck” had about as much to do with me winning the trip than it did with the Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super Bowl. I am also fortunate to have great customers. I am most fortunate to have the best spouse who puts up with my crazy work and travel schedules.

I know some of you are thinking that I am lucky, and you would be right up to a point. While I am indeed fortunate that in I work at Microsoft, the best company in the world. Because of this I also get to work with some of the best and brightest people on the planet. In fact, the people on my immediate team and the extended team are so great that I often feel like Bernard, in a recent LinkedIn post, and wonder why I haven’t been found out yet and notified that they made a mistake in hiring me 17 years ago. Still skeptical, I assumed that this was a mistake, so I replied to the sender to confirm that there was no mistake. Less than an hour later it was confirmed that indeed I was a winner. “Wow. I was going to the Super Bowl. How great is this?” I thought as it finally sunk in. After scanning the entire email, I notice there were no links so it must be a legitimate email.
